Green tea doesn't speed up your metabolism, but it is rich in antioxidants. Believe it or not, coffee actually contains more antioxidants than green tea.

that most be really thick to have to eat the green tea, try taking the leaves out. try swallowing it when it is luke warm but not too hot so as not to burn your tongue.

it 'supposedly' helps speed up your metabolism, but that hasn't been determined by the FDA.

Enough eating your tea.

In short, yes, slightly. For best results drink it brewed.

Eat the calories that your doctor says that you should have daily.

If you can find a 'Panera' restaurant they have the best green tea! Or go to an eastern (chinese) market. Lipton's is also OK : /

There have been studies done on this, and while it does raise it slightly, it's not enough to notice any significant amount in weight loss or energy (other than the caffeine) they study was published and the weight loss industry took it and ran with it.

I don't eat it, but I LOVE to drink it! It's yummy. and It's good for you. Keep drinking it (or eating it). And enjoy the healthy, tasty benefits, hun!
