Well, my plan is to do 30 min. per day of Tae Bo and consume 1300 calories per day - I'm 5'1" and 121 lbs so let me know if this is not a healthy goal. I would like to have three meals a day. So I would like to know some good options for Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner. Also, I like to take food to work to snack on - what are some good options in snacks so I can stop eating peanut butter cups and Jolly Ranchers all day - I like crackers.

jello! theres those cups that are only 60 cals, puddings 100, theres yogurts that are 60. any fruits and veggies are great. count out foods and baggy them up into the servings sizes so you dont overeat. are you saying 121 is your goal? or your are 121? i'm 5'1 and 118 and im a little flabby trying to lose like 10. if you eat more often, 6 meals a day, small ones, you will feel less hungry and it burns more cals, and always keep moving, tapping feet, fidgeting, waving your arms, it all burns cals!

edittttt:
ok awesome we were on the same page then! good luck! dont lose too much, no one likes the nicole richie look, although since she gained like 10 lbs she looks a lot better. i know what you mean though, youre no where near fat, but theres some to lose, since we're short theres less places to put it. try pilates and yoga and lifting small weights many many times if your arms need toning! good luck!

that's not nearly enough calories. 2000 would be better. But instead of getting bogged down worrying about calories just swap your snack choices for lower calories ones, watch the crackers, some of them are high. Take some fruit to work or chopped carrot, celery sticks, stuff like that. Also take a look at what you normally have for breakfast and lunch and see if you can make some minor changes there. That coupled with the exercise should be enough to get you to a weight you are happy with.

another important tip. Drink more water, even if you think you drink loads, drink more. It helps distribute the vitamins through your body.

Good luck

Low cal snacks:

Rice Cakes
Popcorn
Fruit
Celery/Carrot Sticks
100 Calorie Snack Packs by Nabisco

Try to make breakfast your biggest meal, lunch your second, and dinner your lightest...try having a nice big salad as your dinner. Lean proteins are good. No fried foods. Less sugar unless it's from fruits and veggies. Less processed foods.

Good luck!
