Okay, I had what I thought was implantation bleeding on Day one of my cycle, when my period was due. It lasted 3 days. 3 days of brownish spotting and nothing more. Usually I last a full 7 days and I am very heavy.

The same thing happened to my sister and she was pregnant.

Well, on Day 9 of my cycle, I started having some really sharp stabbing pains in my lower abdomen, by my pubic area. It was cramping up pretty bad. I read that this was middleschertz, pain when you ovulate.

So, it occurred 6 days after the spotting ended. If I had my full period, it would have occurred only 2 days after my period ended.

Was this ovulation, or something else? Did I experience implantation bleeding, or just a really light and short period, and the cramps I felt meant I was ovulating?

Has anyone else in their early pregnancies felt stabbing cramps in their lower abdomen? (It only lasted an hour or so.)

Take a test. It could have been that your period was light for some reason and you were ovulating, or you could be pregnancy cramping.

First, take a pregnancy test. If you are pregnant, I'd be concerned about the possibility of a tubal pregnancy, although I think the pain would have continued. If you are not pregnant, you might have been ovulating or you could be experiencing an ovarian cyst (an egg that does not fully emerge) which could mess up your period. If you are not pregnant and your cycle does not return to normal by the time your next period is due, see a doctor. If you are pregnant, see a doctor. Good luck!

You cannot ovulate after implantion. Implantion comes after you ovulate and the egg has been fertilized. I felt no pain early in my pregnancy. I've never felt pain or cramps when I'm ovulating. And I did not have implantion bleeding. You are already past when your period was due, so just take a test.

This is not anything to mess around with. Doesn't sound like simply belly cramps to me. I propose that you simply touch you gyn and inform them what's going on. It would be a high-quality cyst (problematic cyst) or only a practical cyst that's simply stuffed with fluid, equivalent to water, small amt. of blood and different fluids. I have had those, and it may well get severe, so please touch your gyn and allow them to realize. They would possibly desire you to come back in for an ultrasound simply to assess matters out. I wish I would aid. Good good fortune sweetheart
