I give my girlfriend two gifts from the heart. The first: a pink bejeweled heart that I thought over long and hard before purchasing. The second: the silver necklace from my own neck (one that had special meaning to me) as a token of my feelings for her. While looking in a drawer I seldom use, I found these items. I knew that these items had been taken, at on time, to her house and subsequently returned and seemingly hidden. When, only curious, I asked my girlfriend/fiancée to explain why see brought these items back to my house and hidden, she replied that she couldn't explain right away and that she wanted me to wait 6 days for her explanation. During those 6 days I was asked to wait I had to attend a funeral for my grandmother. Being around my family, with their spouses and significant others to support them, I had never felt more alone because I had to wait 6 days to see the woman I am with or to receive an explanation.

Her explanation was that she is not used to getting gifts from a guy. Her last BF was abusive and terrible. She liked wearing the necklace that I wore everyday but she missed seeing it on me everyday. I think she might be trying to hide something.

Hello, your current girlfriend may or may not have a point. Consider this: how would you feel if your current girlfriend was spending some time with an ex boyfriend? Even if you would think it is okay she does not, and part of loving a person is considering what makes them feel uncomfortable and doing the opposite. Changing and doing things that another person likes does not necessarily mean that you are changing who you are; it just means that you are taking another persons feelings, likes, or dislikes into consideration. (Normally when in a relationship such as this, this is the case) My advice: Limit your contact with your ex girlfriend. Your ex girlfriend is in your past and your current girlfriend is your present. Am not saying or suggesting you should dismiss your ex girlfriend altogether but your ex should be treated the same way you would treat another guy friend. (it should strictly just be friendship from afar; given the history you guys have with one another.) Hope things work out, and I hope this advice helped.

I think you should definitely seek out some form of explanation before making any other kind of move.
However, I think it sounds like you've invested considerable time in your relationship with this girl, and if you do break up with her, you'd probably be better off taking some time for yourself, away from relationships.
Immediately after a long-term relationship, the best thing to do, is usually to date casually and see what's out there. Hang out with your guy friends, things like that. Get a sense of yourself, and what you want and expect.

Honestly, it sounds as if she is into some kind of withcraft! The whole thing sounds so strange to me. Do you really know her as well as you think you do? Forget waiting 6 days for her to explain, tell her you need an explanation now. Strange girl, maybe you would be lucky not to marry her.

Is the 6 days over?
Maybe once you receive her explanation that will give you your answer.
Why 6 days, maybe she is seeing someone else and is breaking up and figures it will happen within 6 days.
Listen to your heart.

Its up to you to decide when to get a new girlfriend. I would never have let her get away with the "wait 6 days" nonsense though. You need to talk to her, make her explain immediately and then decide what to do. It sounds to me like she is ready to move on but doesnt know how to tell you.
