What do we stay at home mom's do? What don't we do?

My job is never done. I cook, clean, spend time with my child before and after he goes to school. I spend time with my husband when he is home and not working. In my spare time i do get on the internet which is no crime. I go out once a week with my friends and either play bingo (No i am not that old -27-) and go shopping.
When your a mom you get no time off. Being a stay at home mom is a 24/7 job with no brwaks or anything like that.
I am proud to be a stay at home mom and wife.

Well, for starters that stuff is never done at my house. I could clean constantly and never get done. I have 3 kids and it seems like as soon as I get the living room clean there are toys back out again. And as soon as I get things cleaned up from breakfast or lunch it is time to feed them again. It is a never ending I Love being a stay at home mom. I have been at home for over 6 years now. We homeschool our kids and it is the best thing in the world.
When all that domestic stuff is done you can always play with your kids or go shopping. If your like us you can't really afford to go shopping but it's fun to look. Go for a walk, if it's not to cold or call a friend. Just enjoy being fortunate enough to stay at home with your children. They will only be little once! God Bless You!

You have free time? TEACH ME!!!!
No, I think it would all depend on what kind of person you are. Do you want to sit down and do something relaxing? I crochet. I'm working on getting enough things together to sell them on an ebay page....anyone want buy any baby booties or blankies?
Anyway, you can find a craft like that that you enjoy. Tahts what I do during nap time for the kids.
Or you can take that nap time and take a bubble bath. Or make some phone calls, With all the domestic stuff you have been doing when us the last time you called one of your friends just to chat?
when the kids are up, you shoudl show them that mommy is fun. That cleaning and running around is not all that you can do.
Maybe knowing that you will play when you are done will encourage them to help you clean(depending on their age)
I am sure you can find something, and I guess if all else fails, organize your dresser or closets.

You know, I used to wonder that when I worked. After staying at home, I can tell you that I am so busy, I can't imagine how I ever had time to go to work! In addition to the domestic stuff, you spend time with your kids, having fun with them, teaching them, bonding with them. You spend a ton of time in the car, going to do the shopping, going to appointments, etc. And if you're lucky, you can spend time during naps doing what you want to do, enjoying your hobbies.

My kids are all in school, so I have a lot more time during the day and I get a lot more done that I enjoy.

The shopping, the decorating, the meal planning, the taxi driving, the sports activities, volunteer work, entertaining, party planning, accounting and banking, squeezing in personal time for work outs (many though not all), arranging medical visits, taking care of sick children, school projects, spouse's work functions, and more...
The at home mom does the equivalent of 2 full-time jobs. She is on duty 24hrs a day ; 7 days a week.
When a spouse files his taxes; he files a joint form. The reason is the gov.t recognizes the financial contribution she makes by performing many different tasks he would otherwise have to pay someone for.

For me, it's never really done. If I'm in one room cleaning, the kids are in the other making a mess. There's always laundry or some other on-going task to do. When I have time, I read or take a minute for just me. I also do art or something fun with my kids (coloring, games, etc.). I think being at home, there is more work than when I went to work, but I love it.

LOL @ take a nap. I haven't been able to take a nap during the day in years. One of my kids is always awake.

If all my "chores" and stuff are done around the house, I either do an activity with the kids, or if they are busy, I hop on the computer to check my email. Usually I spend most of the day picking up the stuff they keep dragging out of their rooms. It's a never ending cycle with them lol

I work part time the rest of the time I'm home with my 9 month old. Let me tell you there is no stopping..you are never done! When he goes down for his naps its like 5 or 10 minutes and thats enough time to run dishwater for dishes. Washing them comes later when he desides to play contently in his walker or is wrapped up in the dogs. If by chance he naps for half an hour I have to rush to wash clothes and straighten up the house. There is never a free minute to relax until he goes to sleep for the night then I have to drag myself off the couch to muster up the energy to even flop in a nice hot tub.

You do nothing, lol. Either take a nap or clean all over again. If the weather is right go and take a walk in the park with the baby. Or make a scrapbook, write a poem, or sing your heart out

Yeah right...as soon as i think i'm done my 3 yr old has a brand new mess waiting for me to clean up! But i don't stress over those things so much, i find that playing with my son and enjoying being pregnant with #2 is more important than making sure everything is spick and span.
