i am trying to find a coven in the city of ottawa, ontario.. and am having no such luck... i was wondering if anyone knows of any that are accepting new members... and this is a wicca related thing...lol... so if you know of any please tell me... thanks alot.. toodles

The name "Coven of the Sacred Kiln" came from brainstorming one week when we were about to form our coven. We needed a name of course. Many names were submitted during this process but one brought together all the elements as pottery does. When making pottery you use earth, air, fire and water. So the Coven of the Sacred Kiln seemed like a name with a good balance to start with.
When it came time to choose a name for our study group we wanted a "product" of the Sacred Kiln. Raku is a type of pottery formed using all the four elements. Raku is also a unique pottery where no two pieces turn out the same. All are influenced by the same exposure to air, fire, water and earth, but each piece is unique. So Raku was a good choice for a name for our study group.

It would be better for you to practice alone for a while until you're at the legal age and you know for a fact that you wish to follow this path. I also agree with the person above, if anyone tries to get you to join while you're still a minor you should start running for the hills. There's usually an all around policy *not* to accept people that are underage into their coven.

I don't know anything about your area, but here in my part of Texas they are so far underground due to persecution it is hard to find one and get accepted. That is the main reason I am solitary.
We do have a few yahoo groups that are pagan and Wicca based that caters to people like myself, but even those rarely have open rituals and such.
You can search yahoo and msn groups searching for pagan and Wicca. Good luck. Blessed Be.
