First you will need to find a colour with anything that has "gold" tones or "warm" i.e golden brown or warm auburn. With you having bleach on your hair tou will have stripped it of its natural tones so these will need to be put back in. However dont be tempted to just put any old shade on, it must have the warmth in it or it could turn green!!!!

I would just use a box of hair colour. Ive never heard of it not sticking to white before. Im not saying youre wrong, just that I have no idea. Im in the opposite situation, I had auburn and wanted to go blonde. The Salon wanted a rediculous amount of money so I bought bleach for hair and tried it myself. Turned out ok, but not really blonde, still a lot of red in it. Red is hard to get out. Are you sure you want to put red in your hair? Maybe at the pharmacy you can get temporary gel wash out colour? I know its sticky and gross but if yuo want red hair that bad, maybe that will work. Good luck

You seriously can't find a professional appointment for the next week? I'm guessing you haven't looked very hard. Doing such a drastic change yourself is just begging for trouble, some things are better left to professionals! Either go with the dark roots, or find someone to do this for you, in the end it will cost you more to have an at-home mistake repaired than to do it right in the first place.

I did this myself before xmas and it turned out great! as long as you buy a dark enough colour with alot of warmth in it (Reds) it will look fantastic! Just buy your self one of the new colour enhancing shampoos and conditioners as well and mine is still almost as dark now! Only shampoo once gently when washing out colour dye and then leave it 2 days before shampooing again for it to settle. as far as it 'not sticking' I've never had a problem and mine was platinum blonde. Good Luck

u could put a red dye on top of it, thou like u said it might wash out, ur best bet might be a permanent red dye, and if it washes out keep dying it for a while, i think that might be the only answer, but rather than using normal dye, i'd say buy a "natural" dye which u can buy out of Boots for around the same price as normal dyes. hope that helps.

OK remember this color wont lift color as a key but you can color over a lighter color and you are correct red it the hardest to put in and the hardest to keep in so i wouldn't go to extremes and do you want to keep this new color for awhile? even if it fades? you will have to use alotttt of product on your hair to bring back to its blond shade..i wish i new your natural level of color but be careful it can end up really hurting ur hair sandy hair stylist 25 yrs
