We know that everyone lies regardless of where we are from, but is it true that lying is more common in Korea than in other countries? Do they have different moral standards?

It's not considered "lying" like it is in Western countries. They consider it polite to tell you what they think that you want to hear.

Although the article is interesting, I think you are overreacting! The people mentioned are criminals anyway. You can't justifiably say that the general population of Korea is represented by its CRIMINALS! That's not true in any country.
