Question about the "om" or "aum" symbol?

What is the difference between the "om" symbol that has the curve behind the "3" curling upwards compared to the same symbol that has the curve curling downwards?

up is heaven and down is earth.

If it is spelled as Aum, A stands for earth, U stands for heavenly realm, and M stands for the cosmic vibration. The whole chant, usually sounded out as OM, stands for the cosmic sound. The end of the chant symbolizes the end of creation.
