If you can run on 7 for 2 minutes, this is great training. However, if you want to vary your running, you can try warming up then running in intervals of fast (7.0) for 1 min and jog (5.0) for 2-3 minutes. This gives you less time for recovery between sprints, but doesn't wear you out as quickly as 2 min sprints would.

you want to warm up for 10 minutes then you want to alternate to running at a maximum effort pace (whatever that setting is for you) for 30 seconds then go back to about 50% effort for 30 seconds and repeat that process for 10-15 minutes.

the best thing to do is to keep it up, when using it at a higher speed... you tend to use more engery, keep everything pumping more and longer, if you run at 7.0-7.5 if you can, for 10 minutes, your energy will keep on pumping well after the exercise.. eat healthy and keep up the exercises..
