My friend set me up with her brother-in-law, we went out and felt a and felt a mutual attraction. The thing is he called her and said he had a good time and would like to see me again, but hasn't called me to tell me that. He keeps telling her that he will call me. He's a good guy,so what's up, and why is does he feel that he needs to talk to me through her????? He says he doesn't want to get hurt, but I feel he's being hurtfull and disrespectfull.

He's not trying to be hurt and disrespectful. Hes scared that he'd say something to upset you.
For most of the "good" guys, at least initially:

he doesn't want to hurt or disrespect you, he might be nervous to call you because he doesn't know what to say to you or he doesn't want to say anything to offend you.
