If you are filing Head of Household (not Married Filing Separately), you can be eligible for
Additional/Child Tax Credit
Child Care Credit
Education Credits
In addition to the list of deductible items on Schedule A.

Make sure you bring receipts for -
when you paid someone (their social security number ) or a facility (their EIN) to take care of the child while you work
education related expenses

And for the list of Schedule A deductibles, go to http://www.irs.gov/instructions/i1040sa/ar01.html#d0e374

Best wishes.

If you are working, and having the child in school makes it able for you to work (don't have to stay at home with your child), then you could take the position that the school tuition is child care expenses that could be claimed for the child care credit. That will get you an extra $280 on your federal return.

I suggest turbotax

they go through every deduction possible, if you wish

it's simple, step by step and fairly inexpensive

This will be my third year filing with turbotax. I wouldn't go anywhere else
