Its small, a similar size to a strawberry.
Its a bright yellow/orange colour.
Its a smooth fruit & doesnt have any seeds on the outside.
Its covered by leaves which almost makes it look like a lantern!
It tastes quite tangy too

Thankyou all for answering.....after googling the fruits you came up with I found out its a Chinese/Cape gooseberry or a Physylis, actually it has lots of names!

it's a physallis. It's a round yellow/orange berry, smooth on the outside, covered by a couple of papery thin pale yellow leaves. The fruit is quite firm to the teeth and not too sweet.
You gave a good description of it, and it's certainly a physallis, also known as a Cape Gooseberry.
