It depends on the weather and where you're flying. In Norway, the Pilots I worked with were fine, as they had plenty of layers on. In Cyprus in the peak of summer they were VERY uncomfortable. They were forced to wear almost the same number of layers! Because they planned to fly over water (In Cyprus, it's kind of inescapable!) they have to wear a waterproof rubber layer, like a wetsuit, but it's completely rubber. Great in Norway, but unbearably hot in Cyprus. The pilots were dripping with sweat by the time they had walked across the pan!

A well fitted flight suit is great, like a body glove. A badly fitted flight suit is slow torture. G pants on the other hand can be very uncomfortable at times.

Flying are quite comfortable but a little warm in Summer. I've never worn the G pants that fast jet pilots wear though.

Absolutely. And the only time they become uncomfortable is when they are doing the job they have been designed for...that is keeping your blood from pooling in your extremities during high speed manoeuvring. Even then, if the choice is to be uncomfortable, or to pass out, I think every jet jockey out there is going to choose to be momentarily uncomfortable. At those speeds it's the difference between staying alive, and dying spectacularly.

It depends; i have a summer weight flightsuit and is comfortable, practical for warm weather and you can wear shorts and a T-Shirt and be comfortable all day; I dunno about a heavier "Temperate Weight" flightsuit, which is thicker.
