Dear MIRAGE
the problem is you accept a flower is an art, but it became by nature(or itself)
can a pencil become by itself?
so who is the artist of the natural things ?
does soil or sun has the ability to create colorful beautiful flower that the best scientists can not do ?
is soil more clever than scientists ?
even the donkeys laugh at this with their back side..
A clever person will accept things in nature are just "covers" to God's power

Dear Mirage,
Dust is not an art, not a perfection so does not need an artist, but an art needs an artist..
perfections need artists, not the disordered or rubbish things..
take care have a nice day

Dear UFO
Have you ever thought of seeing 99.9% of births are normal and the rest is defectful..
you have to see 99.9% instead of 0.01%
if 99.9 is success, it is not coincidence
and 0.01?
You have to be thankful that you are not in that percentage, if God wished the defects to be 90 % maybe you would not be writing here.

We don't believe that the universe is art.

We call it nature.

I have seen some pretty ugly and distorted art in local galleries.

I guess you don't think that God created birth defects do you? I am waiting to see if you actually answer this question or if you are simply going to beat around the bush.

Yes it can, the most beautiful art has no artist. It is in waterfalls, sand dunes, flowers, and the bark of trees. It is self-created through natural processes.

Being an atheist does not seem humorous at all to me...

"Fools laugh at others. The wise laugh at themselves"

Edit: Pencils and art require an artist because they are unnatural, energy is required in order to force them from their natural state. Answer me this: Does a pencil need an pencil-maker to revert back to soil, does a painting need an artist in order to crumble into dust? Nature is the natural state, it is self-creating perfection. But when man tries to mimic it he creates imperfection, imperfection that eventually reverts back to it's original perfection.

Dirt and dust are hardly rubbish, for they can nurture life. From a pile of dirt a flower can be grown, a flower which is infinitely more beautiful than the painting from which the dirt came. Perfection from imperfection, an artist is required to remove perfection, but time is all it takes to put it back...

First of all the universe no matter very beautiful and spectacular is not art. An artiest just wishes he could be nearly so creative. I don't know about the wonderful contenients. But to believe something so grandiose could passably be created by an imaginary figment of your imagination is so silly. You lock yourself inside that cocoon of ignorance so tightly trying to preserve your la la land of eternity you have no concept of logic or reason. I would like to see you burst forth from that cocoon into a beautiful butterfly of knowledge but you are so afraid of being gobbled up by your fantasy boogie man Satan that you remain frozen within. And how do we reveal this God-only through the scientific study of the universe and all its complexity. That is the paradox-the theists who attack science are actually attacking the very means of revealing God if he does exist. Atheists on the other hand are pursuing the path that surely God would want with their willingness to explore the world we live in free from any theological dogma. Religionists aren't very deep thinkers or they would grasp the absurdity of their position.

You have to admit that it would be odd to live in a everlasting "always perfect" heaven with only the select, God chosen, few.

So that would mean people you loved, who might have not gotten to heaven, would not be a part of your glorious eternity. How sad. But wait, there are no sad people in heaven right? Eternity is just... glorious.

Being atheist is being in control of your destiny no matter where it ends. No book to guide you, just your belief in yourself.

You need to re-phrase your question to make sense.

You dont need to be an artist (god) to create art. Is a 5 year old an artist if it puts some squiggly lines on a peiece of paper? No

Try again!
