I don't know if "anglos" find fewer than others, but many gloss over the F in "of" because we interpret it in our minds as a "V" sound and not an "F" sound.

Damn I knoew it was some kind off trick and I have done something like this before in the past, but I could still only see 3 until somebody else answer told me to look at the "of" in the sentance.

Six. I am an Anglo and have heard the same comment about missing letters that are part of an article (of, the, a, an, etc). I have no clue as to why.

I got this one in an e-mail. The first time you count it, 99% of people count only 3 f's. However, it really has six. It is a mental trick.

on a quick read 4 then after looking properly 6, so i guess who ever said of is thought of as 'ov' was right and that why i didnt initally notice them 2.
