Go to the doctor. Blood in your stool or blood present while you're trying to go to use the toilet is not a good sign. See a doctor!

i will honestly say i dont think one has anything to do with the other.. kudos on quitting smoking but i will tell you since i have been in the medical field.. i cant say either way they are connected. what you need to do is focus on the anal bleeding first as that is the most important.. is it in your stool? is it red.. as in bright or dark. is it on surface? this would lead you to talk to your dr. now if it is in your stool.. you may have pollops and they will want to do a stool sample.. then probably a colonoscopy.. to look up there to see the source of the bleeding.. all pretty easy if you are really bleeding significantly.. now the nose bleed.. well i would say to look at the environment.. is it dry in your house from heater.. have you tried a humidifier.. that seems to help me as well.. if it is a lot.. then you may have busted a blood vessel that needs cauterizing.. alot to take in but they are two different problems in two completely seperate areas..
see if the bleeding siezes and take a time table with you to the dr. to help him in figuring this all out.. congrats on the quitting..

Unless you a straining and someone has poked you in the nose at the same time you should check with your physician. And rectal bleed is of concern. It is possible that it could be a side effect of your patch medicine but best to check.

Good luck and good luck on quiting smoking.

Nose-bleeds are rarely a sign of anything "serious" and are usually the result of insufficient humidity wherever the sufferer is living...by her a humidifier and the problem will likely go away. Has it been unusually cold and dry in whatever part of Blighty she lives in?
