All of a sudden I dreamed about my ex fiance (whom I have thought about over the past 10 years) and in the dream we recognized each other on the street. He said that every time I come to the west coast we should get together (both knowing we couldn't). He then told me he loved me and threw his arms around me in a hug, then took me by the hand to his home and told me about his 2 kids and how the house is always a mess with a 1 yr old and a 2 yr old, and how they lived with his mother in law. Then I took out my wallet and showed him a picture of my kids. Then his family walked in and he introduced me to them and then I left shortly after and the dream ended. I have never had a dream so real.

It is very common for people to dream about ex-partners. Individuals that have been an important part of our lives continue to take up a part of our mind and heart. It is impossible to very dramatically shut the person out of thoughts and feelings. Just because the relationship ends does not mean that all is finished. As we go through relationships we learn and at times pick up "battle wounds." You will continue to dream about your ex until you "let go" of him on a very important level, or until you learned your lessons from that relationship. Either way, dreaming about your ex-romance does not predict future involvement. It may be wish-fulfillment, reliving memories, or working out old issues.

i think dreams do mean a lot. Sigmund Freud certainly thought they were very important describing them as the "royal road to the unconscious".

but i think a word of warning is important that dreams are rarely as straight forward as you think. jumbled memories and ideas float in their too. im sure your dream isn't about your ex fiance at all, but he is used as a metaphor for something far more relevant in your life.

let the weirdness pass over a couple of days and if the dream still bothers you i would think it probably is important.

A dream is just a dream. It has no meaning at all. I know the superstitious ones will not agree with me.
If you are quite religious, if you believe that the zodiac has meaning, if you believe in good and bad luck signs, if you believe in fortune tellers or psycics, there is a good chance that you will believe that dreams are signs of something.

I think dreams do mean something. I think yours might mean that you are happy and healthly and maybe in your mind, you were trying to let him know you were fine. Although, him living with his mother in law, might mean they are in some financial trouble, OR, that she may be ill and he is taking care of her. Was he a good fella??? Might be your mind really saying goodbye to him or you just needing to let "someone" know how happy you are.

as for me, i believe that dreams are a way of god showing us something and giving us a msg....i believe in all my dreams...once i dreamt of meeting a guy who helped me out of trouble....then i began knowing him..i felt so happy and charmed when i was with him in the dream...in the ending part in the restaurant, before we part, i asked him for a dance since he was the most special guy i hav met...and there was a feeling i have never felt before when i danced with him...then, in reality, i met a guy a week after the dream...this particular guy was the best guy i have ever met..he was special n a way....and the whole time i was with him, it felt the same as the feeling i had when i danced in the dream despite my stressful moments in school....see wat i mean???dreams do mean sumthing....
p.s: sorry for the long story....hehehe

It sounds like you made the right choice in not marrying him. Maybe this dream was telling you what life would be like with him.
