Chicken soup, it makes everyone feel good...

1/2 a chicken
6 cups water
chopped carrots, celery & onion
salt & pepper
Egg noodles

Put it all into a stock pot. Cook over medium heat until boiling begins, then pull back the heat to a simmer. Simmer for 1-2 hours, or until the chicken starts falling off the bones. Remove the bones from the soup and add the egg noodles. Continue simmering about 10-15 minutes more and serve.

i would say hands down home made chicken noodle soup..
chicken broth.. egg noodles.. carrots.. celery.. and of course chicken..

put 4 cans of chick broth in a pot.. fill two of the cans with water and add to the pot.. with the chicken cleaned and cut up in small pieces.. with the carrots & celery the same size.. let it cook for almost an hour.. then once it is soft.. add a cup or so of egg noodles.. maybe more.. dont over do it cuz it will make it all starchy.. then cook it for 10 more minutes and its done.. that is the best recipe for the sickly.. :X and i have never gone wrong with that one.. good luck and kudos for taking the time to make it home made.. its easier than that campbells crap and less salty.. and goes down easier..

The best remedy I have found is:

Cup of hot green tea
Slice of fresh lemon
Tablespoon of honey
About three tablespoons of Brandy

Drink it as fast as you can without burning your mouth, then crawl under the covers. When you wake up you will feel much better!!

The next three or four days, take a spoonful of "Regular", Nyquil at bedtime.

Yup, good old chicken soup!

Milk and egg based desserts are good too. Rice pudding, bread pudding, tapioca, and my own favourite - baked custard.
