I have the intention to spend up to 6 months doing volunteer work. I have browsed the Internet and found MondoChallenge. It seems serious but I am looking for somebody who has donethis kind of experience already, and If he/she can give me further details (other associations too, of course) and feedback!!!

Hello Lucia. I not only have served a volunteer mission abroad, but I also am running an international volunteer organization from abroad.

MondoChallenge is a fantastic organization. I hope you enjoy working with them. I am sure you will love serving a mission with them.

I can tell you a lot of what to expect in a volunteer mission, and how to prepare yourself for some of the most difficult things you will have to adapt to when serving a mission. But, serving a mission is GREAT.

Let me know if I can be of help. I'll be online for about one more hour, but I always reply to my emails within 24 hours.

Ive done a tiny bit of work. I went to Romania, to help in an orphanage and a hospital there. We played with children, painted a ward in the hospital and it had to be the best 10 days of my life.

Im still in Full time Education, and would like to take a year out to help somewhere, but theres talk of going to Romania for 5 weeks this summer!

Sorry I cant suggest organisations, I did it through my church, but i now many local groups would go out from my area, mabye you should check out local organisations?

And good luck with any work you do!

God Bless!
