Do you realize that drugs are highly priced because they are illegal?
If they were legal and regulated they would be affordable and would not be the cause of gang wars, burglaries, or muggins. Their highly profitable traffic would not be financing the terrorist enemies of the USA and the West and the bullets and weapons that kill our soldiers.

Drugs are bad Ummkay! but I think they should all be legal and taxed, and all the money should go to national health care

Our anti drug legislation is a disease to our society, however I can't tell you what happens behind closed doors. The people who make these laws could also be taking bribes to look the other way, so in effect they give us the appearance that they are doing something to help when in fact they are not. It could be the other way around as well, perhaps they are trying to do something but the problem is just far to complex. My guess though is that it is a bit of both ways.

I think that illegal drug users are a disease on society. I don't think that the drug laws have stopped it, but deregulation just does not sit well with me. They have shown in LA that you do not even have to be 18 to get a note from your doctor saying you need it. I just don't see how Meth, Crack, Heroin, Ecstasy, and various other drugs improve society or life.

We learn from past history.... we tried that with alcohol and lowering the drinking age.... ended up with the highest fatality rate from accidents and alcohol related deaths.
The same would happen with drugs. Lower the price would mean more use, which would mean more overdoses, and DUI drugs resulting in more deaths. I'm afraid thats not the solution. All starts with the need to better secure our borders....
