My son had a virus Monday and yesterday with vomiting and diarreah. Well, I tried to keep the house clean and sanitized, but it looks as though I may have gotten part of the virus. Not the vomiting, but the other. I know usually you have to wait and let it run its course, but if anybody has any tips on how to make surviving it easier, I would appreciate it.

First you need to understand that a virus is airborne, you breathe it in and no amount of cleaning can prevent this. As stated a virus must run it's course and you cannot hurry it. You can buy OTC meds to help relieve the symptoms but be careful using antidiarrheal meds since they can actually prolong your illness. The vomiting or diarrhea helps you to eliminate the virus. These usually only last 24 to 48 hours so be patient, it will be gone shortly.

You are talking about something nasty that has taken over your digestive system. Let it flush itself out as best it can. Help it with a salt flush. (a heaping teaspoon of salt in a quart of warm water - at least 12 hours after eating.... take two quarts,,, plan on spending an hour on the commode) follow with plenty of clear water. You can then take 1/2 tsp charcoal in a glass of water, and continue drinking water. The charcoal will help buffer the waste products of the bugs you didn't manage to flush out, and so keep you from feeling bad, while your body finishes the job of cleaning up the mess. --- If it were a nastier virus (like AIDS) you would need UVB and IV hydrogen peroxide. If you have diarrhea use some immodium aka loperimide to treat it. Also be careful with using store bought cleaners as many are toxic and considered registered pesticides. You would be better off using something all natural. If it is the flu you can get antiviral medicine at the docs office if you want faster relief.

i would recommend AVG 7.5 Anti Virus, AntiSpyWare, and Anti-Rootkit or if you can get a BtDefender then much better. Install those programs then scan your PC.
