he does it often, like "could you pass me that book over there babycakes?" i dont have a prob with it but does it mean anything? he doesn't do that with his other female friends and he has a gf, he seems to like her a lot too, so i have no idea

sounds like it could be a term of endearment - he probably thinks of you as a good friend - don't read too much into especially if there aren't any other actions - & you know that he likes his girlfriend alot - respect that... If you aren't comfortable with him calling you babycakes, just ask him to stop.

I think it's cute. He probably thinks you are a cutzy kind of person. maybe ask him why he calls you babycakes. Maybe you you can come up with a pet name for him. Like maybe pass the pepper "Dogsballs." or "poopdroppings."

I wouldnt fret over it. He's obviously comfortable with you, and its kind of a funny thing to call someone hehe.
If he meant anything by it im sure it would show through his actions. Just be chill, if hes got a gf then leave it at that. If he does like you, wait and see what happens between them first.

No, its just a term of endearment. I call girls "love" or "baby" all the time, and it doesn't necessarily mean anything at all. Its just me showing them that I like them even though I may or may not have any kind of feelings towards them.

Ehhhh it's just a nickname he feels comfortable calling you. I wouldn't worry too much about it. I have a lot of guy friends that have cute nicknames like that for me.

He is just being sweet but if it is sending out messages to you then it might also be sending them to his gf so be careful. If it makes you uncomfortable then ask him to stop.

Its normal. He can't call you baby, right? so he has to call you something different that won't hurt his girlfriend. Some guys called me fruit names even they were taken, nothing hurt.
