I am 12 and just around the time I should be gaining 10 lbs, I lost 10 lbs. I am skinny, but not underweight. My mom thaught I wasn't eating enough, so I started eating more and lost more pounds. Why is this happening and can I prevent it?

The energy required for digestion can consume most of the energy in the food. If you are reasonably healthy, you probably can overcome this. You probably are reacting poorly to something in your diet. Perhaps with a little scientific method (eliminating a few things at a time) you can discover what. You might try a few days of fruit and vegetable juices. (Raw, organic is best) That might give your system a chance to rest and get back in balance. Try to get a real salt that has the 14 minerals of sea water. I believe most people have a mineral imbalance.

That's too much weight to lose for you. You need to go to the doctor. At your age, SO many things could be happening, and your doctor (pediatrician) is where to start.
