My best friend has a gf,but he prefers speding time with me.He is always telling me how amazing I am, and asking me for hugs and cuddles and making innuendo type jokes towards me. He'll lean towards me and gaze at me with a big smile, not saying anything. It makes me feel weird, because he has a gf. He always seems to want to touch my hands or shoulders, and every time he gets drunk he says "I want to marry you." I can't tell if this is normal male behaviour towards female friends, or if it means something else.I've been secretly in love with him for ages,so maybe that blurs my perspective. But someone tell me:do men behave this way around women they only view as friends?

Hmm....that seems to be a bit wierd to me as well but I feel you are reading too much into his gesture. Maybe he sees you as a good friend in whom he can confide, be himself without having to trouble himself about those emotional stuff which most men hate as it seems to be too girly and soggy and which they honestly find difficult to deal with. Most men love to have a good time, have fun with his friends who would not be judgemental about his words or actions. So don't push him away by acting like a girl friend instead of being a friend coz that's what he might be enjoying in his relation with you. Moreover, for most men hugging and being a little naughty is nothing new, so try not being so bothered by it. And as far as his saying "I want to marry you", it may have sprung out of his great dependance on you for the way you have stood by him as a loyal friend and meaning nothing more than that. It's best he says the same when he is in his senses, perhaps then you could give it a serious thought and figure out whether he is really serious about having a relation with you.
