My favorite shampoos are the Redken line. It's a designer line, so it's more expensive, but it's worth it to me because I color my hair.

Designer lines like Redken, Matrix, Biolage, Bedhead, etc. have more special chemicals in them to keep your hair looking healthy. Store brand shampoos can do a good job (and when my budget is tight, I will use Pantene or Garnier, they do a good job), but they can leave more residue which can make your hair look greasier. Designer lines also have a lot of protein or other vitamin rich elements that are good for your hair. Store brands have these as well, but not as much.

If you want to buy some of the designer lines, you'll need to go buy them in a salon. You won't find them in a department store.

Have fun!

vo5, its cheap and it does the job, clean my hair, my hair is locked so the maintenance part comes after the wash, using the right product to retwist my hair at the root, i can pretty much use any shampoo, my hair really heathy and strong, so i dont need those special shampoos with extra repair products, i dont want my hair to be weighed down with product

I use Pantene for volume. It's in a white and purple bottle. I have very straight fine hair, so I always look for anything that will help give me some volume.

I use two kinds...
Garnier Fructis Sleek and Shine System- Make my hair soft and non-frizzy
Pantene Pro-v Restoration- Makes my hair have volume and makes scalp non-dry

they both work great...but whatever you do
DO NOT BUY HEAD AND SHOULDERS... it fries your hair
