They used to all be registered at Somerset House in London but now they've moved it to the Family Records Centre in Clerkenwell.

If you have to register one, look in your phone book or Yellow Pages under "Registration of Births, Deaths and Marriages" to find the centre in your town.

BTW this isn't Google - you can type in a question in English if you like!

Forget English and you have the life of Humanity.
We are born, we marry (or pair up and produce young) we die!
Every animal on the planet does it though some change partners frequently or have lots at once. They just dont have the ability to write it down or give out certificates to prove it has happened!

I quess we are missing the vital clue as to what your question is really about!

Hello Sandra,
You can do a search for free on www.ancestry.co.uk or the Mormon site which is www.familysearch.org/eng the Mormon one is great for older records, but for the newer ones you definitely need www.ancestry.co.uk. Good luck if you need a hand you can contact me through yahoo answers, I just love genealogy, I am doing a course on it at the moment through the open university so it is just for practice that I offer my help.

I've done the first two, but as I haven't done death yet I really feel that I'm not qualified to comment on all of your question.

Birth - can't remember it
Marriage - wish I could forget it

If you want to get a certificate
1837online website (it'll cost you)
or if you're lucky
FreeBMD website.

That'll get you the reference, then it's £7 for a copy of the certificate.
