i have always dyed my hair a darkesh brown col with red low lites in it although lately i am after a drastic change... i would luv to be a healthy looking blonde but would also like to have some brown low lites as well. please could someone tell me the process the hairdresser would have to go through to make this possible as i dont like the sound of her using bleach

the hairdresser needs to use bleach to lift the dark pigment out in order to apply the blonde as a lighter colour cannot over ride the dark. Its the easiest and most popular way to do it. she will apply the bleach, lift the colour and add highlights as appropriate.not really recommended to DIY. hairdressers know best in this case!

hi im a hairdresser and you would have to get your hair stripped which can damage the hair depending on your hairs natural state. bleach may have to be used

go to the hairdressers for free cionsultation i had red in my hair and went blonde it turned out reddy brown

bleach lifts the darker colours out. I have bleach in my hair and it is in perfect condition. Just make sure you condition well!

i think you should check the movie "the vacation". Camera Diaz has a gorgeous hair and look professional as well as healthy too.

the only way really is by having high lights gradually or to simply grow it all out
