No, this is not a riddle. I am hoping answers would be an eye opener.

You asked a wonderful question. It's a shame so few people took it seriously. What I see when I look inside myself depends on the type of day I'm having, and my frame of mind at that time. On my good days I see a beautiful single mother of 3 wonderful sons. A woman with a kind heart, who's giving, loving, intelligent, and who strives to raise her kids in the best way she knows how.

On my bad days I see a crippled 42 year old woman who endures constant pain and struggles to accomplish the simplest task. I see a bitter woman, filled with anguish and despair, who questions whether she can raise her kids and wonders why things like this have to happen.

But on all days there is still love, and laughter, and faith. Most importantly, there is hope.

I see nothing.

If you are not able to look in the mirror then you cannot see things as others do. Your point of reference is always experience and always moving in a single direction.

When looking in a mirror you get to see more sides to an object. With those sides you get to have a better understanding of yourself, the object and how they choose to interact with each other.

Relationship is a mirror. You see yourself in it and the picture becomes clearer.

Spirituality and religion are relationships. Connections to things that others don't see. No one has to understand YOUR connection, just you.

Everyone thinks they know anyone else by the labels they give them. These labels are given by people, outside the bubble, telling us their views. These views are usually about how they see us and what we are relating to. (This is their own way of relating to us as a new object.)

They may be right or they may be wrong. If we do not at least listen, we will never see what others see. Again, no one has to understand YOUR connection, just you.

Do you think I would stand in front of a mirror with my eyes open. I have a bad heart, after all.

I never tried: when I stand before the mirror I do it to check how I look, and not to close my eyes;)
