I have a big dilema.
Am trying to buy the right TV.
Problem is I want to also use it for my PC so what would be the best solution for a 40 inch?

Think your missing the point,
If a PC is used with a 40" scren, is it practical, even with the right resolution.
Is it OK to word process etc...does any one actually use their PC practically with their LCD tv

Defo LCD as plasma tv's have a very short life span. Every time you turn a plasma on a small amount of the gas escapes from the set, eventually it will stop working. They only last between 5 and 10 years then you have to get the gas replaced and its cheaper to buy a new one.
plasma sucks LCD rocks

My LCD is HDTV. It is so good, it looks like a photograph with HD channels, or a computer connected to it.
LCD is cheaper and doesn't need color calibrated, with an additional device, because PLASMAs deteriorate within 5-8 years.
Plasma has REAL glass. LCD is plastic.
If your LCD computer monitor is fine, so is the 40", and Hey, that 40" LCD may have a computer VGA like my 37" LCD.
Buy the additional extended warranty! I rarely do, but for the LCD it saved my butt.

LCD - haven't you watched the second episode of Ugly Betty?
She breaks that womans Plasma, but she ends up getting an LCD instead and say "LCD even better than plasma"
I only remember that because that womans voice is so funny (not Betty the other 1 with the broken TV)

LCD is awesome. it displays a variety of signals better than Plasma. (Air, regular cable, and HD all look great on LCD -- on a plasma... Air and SD regular cable look awful)
use for PC? I'm going to say that will look awesome too!
You are so cool. You'll be more cool with an LCD.
and I think LCD are less expensive so you might as welll get a 50 inch!!!!!! Yea baby.

Up to 46" lcd are far better. Above this some people say plasma have a very slight edge. If you intend gaming on it avoid plasma. The best on the market at present is the Sony Bravia range.

Hi Brains. Personally I think LCD's have a better picture. Also, don't plasma screens go funny after a while? That's what i have heard!

Sony Bravia 40inch LCD. It takes a bit of getting used too but im more than happy with it now, especially HD. Make sure you get a HD tv with 1080p & i, Its worth the extra money for higher quality pictures.
