In the holy Quran this verse describes our brothers the people of the book
[2:63] Surely, those who believe and the Jews and the Christians and the Sabians - whichever party from among these truly believes in Allah and the Last Day and does good deeds, shall have their reward with their Lord, and no fear shall come upon them, nor shall they grieve.
Holy Quran
And about the prophets: The Holy Quran states the following.
[2:137] Say ye, 'We believe in Allah and what has been revealed to us, and what was revealed to Abraham and Ishmael, and Isaac, and Jacob and his children, and what was given to Moses and Jesus, and what was given to all other Prophets from their Lord. We make no distinction between any of them; and to Him we submit ourselves.'

[4:164] Surely, We have sent revelation to thee, as We sent revelation to Noah and the Prophets after him; and We sent revelation to Abraham and Ishmael and Isaac and Jacob and his children and to Jesus and Job and Jonah and Aaron and Solomon, and We gave David a Book.

well, where do i start. they all believe in the same thing. what mummy told them. i'm with Dawkins on this one. evolutionary, it's an advantage to believe what your parents tell you. don't go in that cave, a bear will eat you. child staying away from cave has a much better chance of survival than a child who ignores what they're told, and ventures into the cave. yum yum, says the bear. religion is just an extension of this. a way of teaching, through parable and fable. then some bright spark(s) had an idea. tell people what to believe, and tell them what they can and can't do. oh, and watch the cash roll in. money and power. end of. now, having said all this, it doesn't mean that there isn't a god after all, but hey, do you think any real god would want anything to do with the corruption and perversity that is organised religion? hmmm

I see people have answered that both Christians and Muslims believe Jesus to be the Messiah. This is wrong. Christians believe this. Muslims believe he was a prophet, not Messiah. Tho, both do believe he will come back at the end of times. One says to bring people to Christianity and the other to bring people to Islam.
The main thing they have in common, they worship the same G-d. They also are two of the faiths coming from Abraham. The Jews are the third.
Really, Islam has more in common with Judaism than it does with Christianity.

Nothing in Common
Christians believe
In faith alone for salvation
That as soon as we are Saved that we know we are going to Heaven
Jesus Christ is God
Witness is the best way to bring others to Christ
Works are a result of faith and not a way of Salvation
Muslims believe:
Good works are part of your salvation
They don't know their final destination till they get to Allah
Jesus was a prophet and not God
Force is acceptable to bring others to Islam
Works are part of Salvation

Judaism, Christianity, and Islam are three closely related religions. Because they all revere Abraham and certain other patriarchs mentioned in the Bible as their spiritual ancestors, they are called Abrahamic religions. (The Baha'i world faith is sometimes also included in this grouping.) However, their many points of similarity are no guarantee that their followers can get along. Most of the serious religiously motivated conflicts, mass crimes against humanity and genocides in the 20th century have been between Muslims and Christians. This has included genocides in Bosnia Herzegovina, East Timor, and the Sudan, as well as serious conflicts in Cyprus, Kosovo, Macedonia, and the Philippines. As of mid-2001, two of these conflicts (Sudan and Philippines) are still active, and three others are inert only because of peacekeepers on the ground.
It is difficult to compare Christianity to any other religion, because there is such a wide range of beliefs and practices among various wings of Christianity: Roman Catholicism, Eastern Orthodox churches, the Anglican communion and the tens of thousands of Protestant faith groups. Some commentators have suggested that Christianity consists of a number of different religions which share little more than the Bible and the name of their religion. Protestant Christianity is obviously divided into a least liberal and conservative wings -- divisions which hold few beliefs in common. Some of the descriptions below will thus necessarily be somewhat simplistic and lacking in precision.
The site below shows a table depicting some basic similarities and differences between the religions. You might want to read up more.

A line can be drawn between all points in all the religions.
A line growing and fading but none the less connecting. Well I should say that the point is only a point if one thinks it is for all are truly only messages that point in a particular direction. It is the direction one must discern in order to visualise the point and if you one can only see that point returns to the!

AHhh Muhammed you know their are none. Christianity believes no one comes to the father but through the Son. Islam teachs the word of God only comes through Muahmmed. All prophets and scripture before him are corrupt and none shall come after him. that makes him more of an authority of God than Christ is to Chrisitans and to Christians Christ is God. But Christ aknowleged the word of God before him and did not deny the word that would come after him. Christ had to be revealed by the father Muhammed did not...Are you sure Muslims are not secretly worshiping a man? They are indeed giving him more authority than God as god can only speak through Muahmmed and now is silenced because Muahmmed is dead. Muslims surely must believe Muahmmed greater than Allah as Allah can not speak without Muhammed.

Not many. In fact, Islam holds more in common with Judiasm than with Christianity.
However, Islam and Christianity do both consider Jesus of Nazareth to be the Messiah, the fulfillment of the Eternal Covenant of God.

Both religions have been misrepresented at times. Christianity has falsely been used to justify aggression although Jesus taught peace, and Islam has falsely been called peaceful by those who have not read the koran or choose to lie about what it says, although muhammad practiced and taught violence as the means to spread islam.
