Hi Buttercup, most likely your cat has round worms. It's not that big of a deal. Collect a small sample of her feces and take them to the vet. They can tell you what it is for sure. If it is round worms (this is what always happens with our cats) then you will get a syringe of wormer, it is very easy to give to your cat. You will have to know her weight though so they know the amount to give you. http://www.feednfarm.com/CatBloodyStools.html This is a site about bloody stools, this is one about round worms: http://www.cat-lovers-only.com/cat-round-worm.html
Hope it gets better, I'm sure it will, just take a sample to your vet.

One of my cats had that very problem a couple years ago and I took him to the vet and he said it was irritable bowel diesease. He went on to say that it was caused by not having enough fiber in his diet and to give him pumpkin pie filling. Ever since then, I have fed him that every morning, as much as he wants, and he hasn't had any trouble since! But since yours is a female and you just had her spayed, I would get to the vet right away!

It could be as simple as mild constipation to something as sever as cancer or intestinal bleeds. Call your vet and have her checked over. If it's simple constipation, the vet may recommend a different food, a laxative, canned pumpkin, medication...all depends.
Good luck.
