That is a statement that Jesus made to His disciples, but it is spirit, not soul.
Mark 14:38 "Keep watching and praying that you may not come into temptation; the spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak." Simply means in our hearts we want to do what is right but our natural being in us falls rpeatedly.

this is from the Bible ( Mathew 26:41)it was said by Jesus to saint Peter , saint john and saint Jakob the night when he was arrested . He was praying and asked them to stay awake with them and pray but they could not so he told them this phrase and it means that the flesh ( body ) always wants to rest and chooses the easy way but the soul (spirit) is always active wants to do good acts and to raise above all the attempts and be better .

this saying is stupid narrow minded and it makes no sense whatsoever. let me try to explain "the flesh is willing and the soul is week"
the world is dominated by greed because souls are week.

Means that people want to do what God wants of them....they yourn to be obedient but the fleshly part of man is always struggling agaist it and makes the person weak when they give in

from the bible, but the correct saying, from the King James version uses Spirit, not soul, however other versions of the bible may have altered it.

the sole it your internal makeup,it is you. and we all have a sole and we are all different. But our body is subject to the environment and surrounding in this life. some times our sole can't adjust or accept .I think your sole is your inner feeling. the body wants one thing but the sole tells you something else
