Spray it with water. Doesn't hurt it but the cat gets the message. This was what my vet recommended for me to keep the cat off the counter.

It sounds like the cat is jealous. Maybe you could take the kitty a treat or toy and try to have some alone time with the cat where it isn't competing for attention. Also try not to act too scared or jumpy around the cat because I think they can sense that and it makes them more anxious.
If nothing else works, try spraying the kitty with a little water when it gets aggressive and starts to hurt you.
Good luck

Is the cat only attacking without delay? Or are you attempting to puppy the cat even as he doesn't opt for to be? If the latter, go away him on my own. in the different case, your boyfriend is going to ought to regulate the cat. Now, there is an chance that the cat is jealous of you and thinks you're a rival on your boyfriend's attentions. if so, it truly is definately as a lot as your boyfriend to both search for suggestion from an animal behaviorist or get rid of the cat.

OOOH! It's jealous. My ex boyfriend had a cat sparky. And it hated me. ANd i was nice to the little thing. But i took the attention away from it. I tried to feed it and play with it. Give it treats and cat nip. At times she would come to me and let me pet her. Usually though she would sit on the sofa top and smack me in the back of the head. Just jealous. Just spoil it. It might come around.

Could be your perfume. Some cats are attracted to some perfumes. Mostly the male cats.

Really? then try to pet it while the cat isn't looking so it will stay calm. Usually, the cat feels sleepy when you do this.
