Once when my son was a year old, I placed him in his crib for his usual mid-afternoon nap while I tended to cleaning the kitchen. About 15 minutes later I hear someone "running" towards me (I live alone w/ my son so fear sunk in quickly) when I look into the living room here I see my sweet son laughing & dancing b/c he just succeeded in climbing out of his crib... he scared me half to death but it was soooo cute!

What were you doing when your child did this and how old were they?

My son was probably 16 months. I put him to bed for the night and he cried for awhile, as usual, and then he stopped and then a few minutes later he started crying again. I peeked in the room to see if he was OK. He got out of the crib but didn't get hurt. He was scared and confused walking in circles in his room like he didn't know what to do now. It was so funny.

I did precisely what the above answerer Snoopy did, and it worked. The do not bypass interior the crib anymore. If she is like me, her cat is an element of the family members and purely "getting rid" of it exchange into not an selection, or a minimum of i wanted to aim each thing i ought to in the previous this selection. I additionally set up the crib early and purely gave my cats a solid squirt each time the have been given in or went around the crib. Now that my infant is right here, I do determine that the cats are out of the room whilst she is slumbering purely as a protection precaution inspite of the incontrovertible fact that. tell your human beings congrats on her infant, and hi from yet another cat lover:) Goodluck! playstation I word that assorted all and sundry is telling you to easily close the door. that relatively would not sparkling up your subject, considering which you heavily isn't waiting to maintain that door closed all of the time whilst the infant arrives. Squirting them repeatedly with water properly in the previous infant arrives assures that if perhaps the door is left open for in spite of reason the cat has found out to stay OUT of the crib. additionally, i observed somebody stated lay a blanket over the crib, do not lay something over the crib that may not made to bypass over the crib. Very risky on many ranges. Hindering solid air bypass the crib is one, which could be a element in SIDS.

My daughter was almost two, and I was pregnant withe my third child. She had gotten out before, don't remember when, and I was puzzled. So I put her to bed and stayed in her room to tidy up a few things, The next thing I knew, she put her leg over the bar and flipped out onto the floor on her head! Oh I flipped out. Big and pregnant I sat there holding her, wondering how she didn't break her neck.
That very day, I ordered a crib tent from One Step Ahead. this is a tent that goes on top of the crib, that is see through net, that keeps your child in. I'm on my 5Th child now and still use that tent today!

Fortunately, my daughter is almost 2 1/2 and has never done that. But she did manage to escape the playpen at the sitter's one time after her nap.

if they are old enough to climb out, then they should be in a proper bed, especially by the time they are walking
