I have got to play two short contrasting pieces for an audition in 4weeks. I am Grade 8 standard, and the audition pieces need to be around grade 7/8 standard.
Any ideas please?

I would recommend a movement from Mozart's clarinet concerto, Weber's Concertino, Poulenc's clarinet sonata, or Finzi's Five Bagatelles.

I agree with the first two answers. You may want to fall back on something you recently played as well. Also, kill two birds with one stone by choosing a solo that you can also play for contest. I think the Weber and Mozart are both standard audition repitoire. I'd go with one or the other, not both.

You'll do fine. Listen to the first 2 gals. those pieces are very nice. Be sure to listen to recordings as you learn. It'll help you get good faster.

Good Luck!
