First of all, many new arguments are now being made about the accuracy of 'Aysha's age when muhammed married her. It's conventionally though that she was 11 (not 9, ur info is inaccurate), but now it is thought by many muslim scholars that she was 15 when there was an actual marriage.
Second, many muslim scholars believe that muhammed wanted to have a new YOUNG member of his household to stay with him all the time so she can learn the most about islam from him to preach for the longest period of time after his death.
Personally, i am not a great fan of this wife of muhammed. She was one of the major players in the conflict that led to the muslim civil wars, the same wars that continue today in Iraq between Sunnis and Shites.

Yes it was true he married her at 9 years old age, and some say he engaged her 2 years and married at 11 , but not at 6 years as some fanatics claim!
Thousands of years ago the Pharaohs kings and queens married at age younger than 10 both males and females..King Tut on his death was only 16!
and they were able to enjoy their sex life and have healthy children,
Women in that era at this age were mature enough to be responsible for a family and people in this era had shorter life spans than now
why didn't we call them pedophiles?
The last Chinese emperor in the last century married at the age of 12 a
girl of 17 ! and we didn't call her a pedophile
The fanatics ignore all those events in the history , and try to focus only on our prophet's private life!

that age standards were so different than ours, at that era young age marriges were orgnized by famillies all over the world. even in Europe were christianity lies. when a certain social status can be achieved by this.
in our case Aysha "the 9 years old" was intended to be an islamic icon and mentor long after the prophet died and to carry on his legacy.
and Mohamed (PBUH) is not godly devine like jesus he was a man like all we are.

again, mohamed didnt sleep with the 9 years old girl, when he married her at this age, he treated her as his daughter and he let her live her childhood, she was playing with her friends and enjoying all the time, n he was teaching her everything in life, till she became a lady then he treated her as a wife....
