I hate it. They do it with a few companies like Thomsons the holiday people. It really annoys me and makes me question Yahoo's impartiality and Independence.
Forget aout the fallacy that dictates "yahoo would cost you if they didn't pay to do market research in here"
That's a joke.
Would you say the same about those who contribute to political parties?????
So "Dubya" and "bliar" are blameless because those that funded them are responsible. Pull the other one mate!!!
Yahoo should be an independant entity free of the trappings of consumerism, voyeurism and materialism.
I'm sure that an organisation as large in stature and fame as Yahoo could run independantly. They're just greedy bams like the rest of them.

Hey at least you werent here for that idiotic ad they had up for a while with two people talking to each other in voice that we had to listen to the very same 30 second soundbite each and every damned time we changed pages or posted anything, it would start all over again. I think it was for The Gap clothing store if I remember right. It took Yahoo a week to take it down, and I think they only did it then because the vomit level from us out here was getting too high for them to be able to swim anymore. That was truly horrible. Give me a woman in a pink bra and panties ANYTIME over that useless, braindead, fakey happy idiot newscasters yakking at each other about the Gap, any old day. Yes, another answerer gives that if it bothers you, get Adblocker Plus. That's what millions of us out here ended up doing with that idiotic Gap ad, and I've never seen another ad on Yahoo since then. Adblocker must have been simply ecstatic that week for all the business.

If their advertising on here stops yahoo from having to charge us so they can make some money to continue this free service and if possible improve/extend it then so be it

I agree and have reported them, but obviously YA won't do anything about it as Sainsbury's would have paid them a wad of cash.

I enjoyed Sainsbury's today.
I have just been to Sainsbury's.
First stop deli, free 'Orkut' taster, yeah OK, free good slice steak slice, very nice; carried on to shop. Returned to continue shop along the way, free piece chicken pie, nice; free piece cornish pastie, very good. Continued shopping, on the way back, free slice pork pie, very good, and to finish Hot(ish) free baked potato.
Full up now.

If Yahoo! didn't have advertisers then you'd have to pay for it. Lesser of two evils if you ask me.

p.s. Go Tesco, go Tesco, go Tesco
