I am in the same boat with you. My cousin is a big boy and him and I go to the gym 4 days a week. We will be there for about 4 hours too. But we walk the track and talk and lift and cardio. The time doesn't matter, just make sure your friend isn't doing too much because too much of anything is bad. (Just like food). Also, make sure he doesn't go to the gym so much that he gets sick of it. You should go together and set up a plan were you both know what you are working out on what days. That way, he shouldn't over do it.

What is "helhty" that you typed here??????

If you meant "healthy" -- the people at the gym could talk to him about what he really needs to do for fitness.

Let him do it. When his body finally doesn't like it, he will stop. Let him recover for a week or so and then have him start again, only this time on your routine.
