Depression is characterized by low spirits, reduction of self-esteem, and lowering of energy. Recognizing the symptoms and doing something about it is good to avoid falling into a deeper state of depression.

Well now lets see if I can answer this for you .I have been a depressed person, oh damn near half my life. Well, I hate to get out of bed, thats a big one there. I want to just sleep, I never want to go anywhere,nothing and I mean nothing makes me happy. My daughter asked me if I ever look forward to anything, and I hated to tell her no, but I did not want to lie. No, I dont look forward to my grandaughters birthday,or her first day of school. Can you believe I am taking medication?Doctors cant seem to get the right pill. I have been on every damn anti-dpreeant pill they make. At the moment I am on 20mgs of lexapro.No change that I can see or anybody else.I hate to sound so down, but thats how I feel. You know what they tell me???? They say there is light at the end of this tunnel I am in.There is one thing I havent let go of,,,,,,,,HOPE,Without that I have nothing, so I will be here waiting for the light. I know I cant just sit here annd wait for the light to come knocking on the door. I have to help myself.I will continue trying meds, talking to my therypist,and doing all I can to just feel again. I hope I helped a little. Hell, I hope I didnt make you feel worse than you did. You will be in my prayers hon.

Firstly what started making you feel like this a remark by someone not being able to complete a task correctly find out whats at the root of it... Once you find the root deal with it face it full on .. Get focused on one thing at a time and do it take each day step by step think positive about yourself and what you do excersice daily even if its only a brisk long walk it keeps you fit and clears your head... Stay away from negativity i.e. situations and thoughts look at your self in a full lenght mirror change your hair style hair colour the way you dress.. Once you look good you feel good like nd love yourself for who you are not what others want you to be live to your own aims in life not other peoples.. Tell yourself your special and you make a difference in the world .. wishing you love and luck and happiness stay positive and focused

you feel like sleeping or can stay up for days on end, lack of self worth, feeling like crying. i would say to talk to your doc and work out some sort of meds for you before the depression gets the better of you. get help for the disease, dont let it control you.
