It is impossible to comprehend infinity while living a finite existence.
This world is temporary, God is and always will be.
Don't hurt yourself trying too hard to grasp the concept. Just stick with Jesus.

The typical theistic argument is 'Well, then where did the universe come from? Huh?'
When you respond with, 'Okay, then where did God come from?', you are given all of this 'alpha and omega' rubbish. They'll tell you that you can't possibly believe that the universe 'has always been there' but if you ask them how they can believe that God 'has always been there', they'll tell you it's too complex for humans to understand.
I sigh. If we speak about infinity in reference to time, we know from Einstein that the passing of time is a factor of the speed of light. If there is no light, then, there is no time. Thus there _is_ a beginning, and you cannot say 'what was before that' because the birth of the universe is also the birth of the concept of 'before'.
But it's easier just to say 'God created it and God has just always been there'. It's easier than thinking.

The ancient Vedic Scriptures of India describe God as infinite, omni-present. all pervading and having a transcendental form. God is not a concept but a reality. We cannot compare mundane with the spiritual. God has no beginning or end and He is cause of all causes.
If you want to know more just join my classes on Vedic Scriptures. I send a weekly email to a large number of students withougt any obligations.

The Universe is infinite. It holds more fascination for me than a god which is imaginary. If you contemplate the Universe, you will never find the answer to the question of whether or not it has always been. I think that this sense of awe and wonder has come to be called "God" by some people, because it is very difficult to wrap your head around the cosmos.

That we finite beings are unable to comprehend an infinite Being is due only to our inferiority to that Being. A painting can never comprehend its painter.
"As to thy question concerning the origin of creation. Know assuredly that God's creation hath existed from eternity, and will continue to exist forever. Its beginning hath had no beginning, and its end knoweth no end. His name, the Creator, presupposeth a creation, even as His title, the Lord of Men, must involve the existence of a servant. ... Whatsoever in the contingent world can either be expressed or apprehended, can never transgress the limits which, by its inherent nature, have been imposed upon it. God, alone, transcendeth such limitations. He, verily, is from everlasting. No peer or partner has been, or can ever be, joined with Him. No name can be compared with His Name. No pen can portray His nature, neither can any tongue depict His glory. He will, for ever, remain immeasurably exalted above any one except Himself." -Baha'u'llah

well i am a muslim and islam states that God is beyond comparison it very clearly mentions that our prayers neither increase God's power nor does our not praying diminishes his so the word infinity is used to reffer to something that is unaffected by addition or subtraction.
As far as infinity being a concept yes its a concept or more accurately a hypothesis to accertain a value which is incomprehensible or unimaginable.

A sphere is finite but an ant walking on it would think it's infinite because it doesn't run into boundaries. So, what IS infinity?

By saying that God is the beginning and the end you ARE saying that God is infinite. It doesn't mean there is a beginning and an end, just that God is all-encompassing.

The Way that can be experienced is not true;
The world that can be constructed is not true.
