all 3 of my cats have worms they only come out of there butt and my mom won't belive me, i found out when i picked my cat up an there was this worm just haning there. well they have had "worms" for a while cuz i can't prove to her they have worms. and i afraid that she is going to die. they have had it since the middle of last year. i think its type worm. we live like a mile away from a animal hopital. i don't know why she wont believe me. what do i do???

Alright, it sounds gross, but here is what you do... collect a sample of the cat's feces and show it to your mom. If the cat's have tape worm, you will generally see white worms in the feces. They aren't very dangerous, but do need to be treated. If it turns out to be a monetary issue, call your local animal clinic and ask where you can get medication inexpensively.

Next time you see a worm...and if they're crawling out of the cat that should be very soon....have your Mom come and take a look.
You may also see worms in the litter box, if you do show that to her.
Tell her that the cats have worms and need to be seen by a Vet.
If you're old enough take the cats yourself...if not is there another adult you can talk to and show the worms to?
Perhaps they would be able to convince your Mother that the cats need to be taken to the Vet to get worm medication.

Yeah my male cat has had the same worm problem. If the cat goes outside alot, he will continue to get them from eating rodents, and birds. You can have the vet treat it with a dewormer, but if the cat still goes outside the cat will continue to get worms. The worms look like rice. I don't think it will kill the cat but he could lose weight from the worms. It may sound gross as the other person said, but see if you can get one off with a tissue or something and put it in a baggie and show your mom. Then show her a yahoo image search of cat worms. She will get the picture, litterally. Goodluck

If your mum don't believe that the cats got worms, she really don't know lots about cats. Its _very_ common, and really easy to get rid of, just worm them!

Take them to the vet to have the dewormed. Dewormers for tapeworms are not available over the counter and it is in the form of tablets which is hard to administer. The vet has a way of giving it because they have a pill pusher .

Take the kitty to the vet, or go and get a proper
deworming treatment from a vet in your area.......
