I think you should bring it to the vet. Explain your situation and maybe work out a payment plan or possibly the vet will give you a discount on whatever treatment is needed. You can also call your local rescue center and maybe they can help? It's very nice of you to keep it and try to help it. I hope it isn't broken. Good luck.

I am stunned. Your friend "found" a dog - was any effort made to return her to her home? I read some other Qs you wrote, and it seems you have been looking for a Yorkie, preferably one with papers. I think you want a 4-legged status symbol. This dog is a living being, not a stuffed animal. Get off your selfish *** and get that animal some medical attention. If you "really like her", you simpering hypocrite, then care for her. And if you can't afford to take her to a vet, give her to someone who can. It's not a "rescue case" if you just took her in because she's cutesy and fluffy and you deny her medical care. Rescue her by freeing her from pain, poor health, uncertainty, and suffering... TAKE HER TO A VET!! She should see a vet anyway, for shots, worming, checkups!!! God, what is the matter with you?!

I'm not sure why your friend didn't tell you about the dog's leg. She must have known about it. Maybe that is why she gave the dog to you. Pure bred Yorkie is not cheap and it is very popular. Your friend, instead of keeping it and giving it to you, should have looked for its owner. To fix the leg, the vet will need to take an X-ray and that alone is not cheap. If you cannot commit yourself to make sure the dog is healed, I don't think you should keep it. Put an ad on a paper, Craig's list and at local vets' bulletin boards, saying you found a dog with a broken leg, but unable to care for it and want somebody adopting it. Finding a person who can fix its leg is the best.

You have to take your dog to the vet. If the leg isn't treated for the broken leg or fracture (it can be either one), then it can cause problems in the future (not heal properly and cause a disfigurement) which will cause higher vet bills.
Call around to different vets in your area and explain the situation and see if they have a payment plan or talk to your parents if you are underage or live with them.
Most vets are going to tell you that you need to have the dog properly examed and have x-rays taken (with x-rays they will have to sedate). This can range in the possible hundreds of dollars. I know that when I have my dog get x-rays (based on where I live and the vet prices) it ranged up to $300 dollars. It can be a little less or a little more based on where you live.
Despite that the dog needs a proper exam and treatment for the leg problem.Good Luck.

In my hometown, the SPCA has very very affordable vet care. We happen to have a really good one and I dont know if this is the case everywhere. For example, the SPCA spayed my dog for 25 dollars, the vet wanted almost 200 dollars. It is worth the time to give them a call. Ours have real vets on staff who donate their time. They were wonderful.
It is a good thing you are doing. This little baby needs you becasue you care. Even on a small budget you I think you can get him the help he needs. Call the SPCA, they will work with you. Thank you for helping this little angel! Good luck!

Have you checked her foot for piece of glass or rock or something stuck in? If she lets you examine her foot/leg, it is probably not hurting her. Maybe it was injured previously, but is already healing. Vets can be very expensive and if she is already healing, I wouldn't waste the time and money. It sounds like the dog is getting around okay, right? If she doesn't seem to be in pain, I think she'll be okay. Or, if you're planning on taking her to vet anyway, for shots and stuff, then do it all in one trip.

We'd support out on the nearby meals financial institution and an 'ancient persons dwelling'....It was once a laugh and moneymaking.

I'd say,"why don't you call both those places and get the prices." and thank you for taking a dog that wasn't yours

A .22 caliber bullet is very inexpensive and if you can not take care of the dog properly it's more humane to the dog.
