For good food, reasonably priced and top class service go to a restaurant called Venus in the Park come out from Mile End tube station turn left across the lights directly under the bridge. You will have a fantastic evening the decor is lovely and the service is brilliant. Please try this as you will thoroughly enjoy the evening there. Highly recommened Good Luck and if you choose this venue Hope you have a wonderful evening

It depends on your taste. I would endoorse Langans and the Oxo Tower but for spectacular views as well as good food try the rooftop restaurant at the Hilton Hotel in Park Lane. When booking order a window table otherwise they will put you on the inside which is still good food but not great views.

If you want to be flash I recommend Langham's Brasserie in Mayfair, but if you want to go cheap but good, I recommend a place called China China in China Town. The Pizza Paradiso restaurants are nice for Italian food in town and Greek Street has a nice selection of expensive and not so expensive restaurants, another nice, posh one round there is Kettners (a famous haunt of Oscar Wilde's) just off Greek Street.

there is a really nice small restaurant on the kings road in chelsea, they do really good pizza and steak.
or if your looking for more of an atmosphere there is a beautiful restaurant in fulham broadway opposite the train station it has a small pond with flowing water and fish with a little bridge that you walk over to the tables. all the tables are surrounded with exotic trees and flowers. they specialise in thai food. its really tasty!
hope this helps.
i know a few more if you need any more help!

forget the Mile end one. went there when it opened 3 years ago and it was incredibly disappointing.
But, head to Soho/ Mayfair/west end.
LANGHANS is ALWAYS great, generous food with a buzz either lunch/dinner. The groundfloor is slightly more casual than upstairs.
KITCHEN BAR BOHEME in middle of Soho is always my fave. from their generous/fish/sausage& mash/rost chicken for with veg, and nice puds too. open all day too! went there many times and it's friendly bar like feel, no major gay attitude at all. once sat right next to Steve Jones from T4! always a bonus:)

Go to the OXO Tower, it is a lovely restaurant with excellent views of the City, River Thames and Tower Bridge.
The food is excellent, and they do lovely cocktails

Try Lisle Street in Soho. Has more restuarants than you can shake a stick at. Reasonably priced too.
