i want to lose weight. i have good intentions but i always give in to hunger pangs. like, i always promise myself i won't be eating anymore after 6pm, but the hungry feeling bugs me and so, before i know it, i've already condsumed enormous amount of food already.

Drink lots of water throughout the day. It keeps you hydrated, and some of your hunger may be related to dehydration.

dont starve yourself, that will make you break your diet by overeating, and is bad for your metabolism too. You should drink ice water before you eat, and throughout the day. there are some foods, like celery, that have very low calories, but will give you something to munch on.

Drink a LOT of water. Also, exercise is the best appetite suppresant available.

Well starving yourself is _not_ the answer.
You should exercise, that's the only real effective way to loose weight and stay there. There are no short cuts, you only end up miserable.

Try drinking large amounts of water. It wont diminish it but it will curb your appetite.

well, thoughout history man has been looking for this magic pill...the french tried a small piece of chocolate before meals or gold....but in the end all these tricks are, are fool's gold. eat less, move more.
