Hypothetical answer;

A Muslim should "Want" to swear on the Bible because Muhammed's Quran qualifies the Bible that came before the Quran!

But that is only Hypothetical because there are many contradictions in the Quran because it did "Not" come from "The Most High God"!!!

By the way;
If you are so mesmerized by the Quran and Muhammed, you should leave this country that was founded on Judeo Christian principles and you should go live with the "Taliban"!

the funny thing is that you always complain how the quran dissrespect unbelievers, but what do you call what your doing right now? every verse has a story to go with it. study it more and read the context around it and then maybe you will realize. violence is highly forbidden in islam. the only time you are allowed to commite acts of violence is in war. also,you must be fair and when fighting with someone each person must have there own weapon, so no one is in a disadvantage. it's not saying to go and jump some people just cause they don't have the same belief as you.

Well, as the West says, if you are here you swear on the bible. Well, that's fine, but then you have to swear on both the bible AND the Quran when elsewhere. Quran to show them how it feels to have your religion disrespected, bible to ensure they will tell the truth because most don't see the Quran as good or the word of God.

I think one should stay in the country where they can swear the swear they prefer.

I would not want to swear on the Quran, I hope I never have to. But if I have have to, I am sure God knows my heart.

Muslims read the Bible and respect that. I do not believe that the Quran is isnpired word of God. I am studying Quran and trying to understand though.

Did you mean, why ask a Muslim to swear on the bible? That debate is over, the guy won his right to swear on the holy book of his choice. I think it's wrong to swear on the holy book not of your religion because then you won't mean it.

I suppose people can take their oaths and swear on any number of books. I think it's entirely up to the person. At least in the United States.

For me, it would be a box set of Grateful Dead for all it would matter to me.

People should only swear on the doctrine they truly believe in, whether it is the Qur'an, the Bible or the Torah...
