PLEASE don't let him put her down. sometimes dogs don't get along with other dogs but that doesn't mean they should be put to sleep. I have three dogs and two of them can't be in the same room together cuz they will fight, but I would never put them down because of it. aren't there people out there that you don't like? you wouldn't want someone putting you to sleep because of it.
and if it's a problem you can't deal with then try and adopt the dog out.

What breed of dogs are they? I have a Jack Russel and a Staffordshire bull terrier living together.

If you introduce an mature dog into a house which already has a dog they will fight. It is all about territory.

Im sorry to hear about they fighting but you have to realise there just protecting there home and owners.

I hope everything turns out ok for you.

See if you can convince him to turn the dog over to a rescue group or no-kill shelter. The dog doesn't need to die, he may do perfectly in an "only-dog" home.

i don't think so. some dogs just don't like other dogs unless they are raised with eachother, but still are great with people and kids.

Dog -on-dog fights do NOT carry over to dog-human agression!

Dogs CANNOT "listen" in the midst of a fight!

It's HIS dog,not yours. Butt out.
