for a 100F degree fever (37.8 C) nothing needs to or should be done in fact medically its not even a fever untill it is at least 100.4F or 38C

Fevers are one of the most common reasons that parents seek medical attention for their children. Yet, few parents know that fevers are beneficial to your child and not a danger! In most cases, fever requires NO TREATMENT and your child will even get well faster if you do nothing.

Fever is simply a signal that your body's immune system has increased its response, probably to fight off a virus or bacterial infection. The fever itself is necessary for your child's body to get better. The fever itself is not dangerous.

fever is only dangerous if the child is under 3 months of age or has an immune system disorder (or if the fever is above 105F, 40.55C)

you should watch out for other problems like if she becomes lethargic, and dehydration (if she is vomiting or has diarrhea)

please read http://www.unhinderedliving.com/fevers.html for info on fever
it talks about things like what you should do if your child has one,

My dr always says - forgot about the numbers...how is the child behaving? How does he look? Are there other symptoms? A fever alone doesn`t mean much. Paracetamol(acetaminophen) can be given but isn`t necessarily necessary. Obviously if there`s more than a fever or if it continues a couple of days think about going to your dr to check it out.

Tc/5 = (Tf - 32)/9

(37.8 * 9 / 5) +32 = Tf

=> Tf = 100.04 ºF
