a father expects high on his 2yr old son. If the boy spunks him he would do it back so the boy would learn that it is not gud. He also use a strong voice with a firm look upon his face if the boy would insist of the thing he wanted. One day the boy spunk his baby brother with an umbrela whose laying on the crib. The father yeld due to anger and fear of what had happened, the boy cried for fear and anxiety. I'm afraid what negative outcome will result to the boy.

There is nothing wrong with a strong voice and disapproving look. There is also nothing wrong with yelling at a child who hits his little brother with anything!! The child should have cried...even at two he should not be hitting anyone with anything. A child will always test his limits...and his parents, you are only at the beginning. If you don't set standards and control now you will never have it! You are the parent, not a friend...kids need limits and look for them. They also find comfort in them. Instead of criticizing the father maybe you should look into the probability that you are too "easy" or "soft". Remember discipline has to come from both parents...keep your standards high, rules simple, and always be consistent.

Doing anything back to a child that the child does, is not teaching them it's wrong, The father is provocking the child... Yelling at a 2 year old is like spitting into the wind...counterproductive and damaging!!! Tell the father to chill out, have more patience and don't you stand for it!!! Get rid of the bum if he isn't willing to calm down...
