Height is more than 80% heritable, so the best way to get height is to have tall parents. I'm 6' tall, my mom is 5'8" and my dad is 6'5". It works like a charm.
To not stunt your growth and to reach your maximum potential, eat healthy and get plenty of water and don't do activities at a young age that can damage your joints, like heavy running for twelve year olds. However, what I've found in my brief survey of websites is that you really can't stunt your growth, so just...grow up!

Height is primarily inherited. If your parents and grant parents are tall there is agood chance that you will be tall.How ever you can slighty increase your height by certain exercises ,one for instance is regular swimming,second is pullups.Weight lifting is one which has adverse affect on height.Body growth takes place up to the age of 23 .Hence the food habits and general health during this period have a bearing on your growth.
